The event aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer, encourage early health checks and promote positive conversations about men’s health whilst also celebrating culture and community through music and engagement.
Retro Reggae Revival and Survival is a Prostate Cancer Awareness event for people aged 45 and over, combining important health information with music, culture, and community engagement. The event aims to break down barriers around men’s health, encourage conversations, and help people access information and support in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, yet awareness and early testing remain low. Reggae Revival and Survival is designed to reach people who may not usually engage with health services, using music and community connection to promote positive health messages.
The event will include health information, signposting to local services, and opportunities to learn more about prostate health, alongside live music and community activity celebrating reggae culture and togetherness.
Men, women, partners, friends, and family members are all welcome to attend, whether for themselves or to support someone they care about.
