South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Tackle Deliberate Fires in the Area

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were deployed to two deliberate fires on Monday night.

This comes after a busy period for the fire service.

Fire Crews were deployed to Balby and Wheatley on Monday night after multiple deliberate fires, coming only a few weeks after one of the busiest periods in the service’s history, and a reported heat wave expected nationwide this week.

Fire Crews were called to a deliberate fire involving trees and bushes at 7:05pm on Oswin Avenue in Ballby on Monday night and left half an hour later, before Firefighters from Doncaster station attended a deliberate rubbish and hedge fire at 7:35pm on Truro Avenue in Wheatley.

The crew left the scene at 8:20pm.
